About Me
I’m a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and color enthusiast working in the mediums of painting, digital art, photography, and fiber.
As a compassionate lifelong learner and observer, creativity has always been at the core of everything I do. Color, patterns, and texture excite me and inspire my work, whether personal or professional. I’ve spent the past twenty years running a successful fiber arts business designing and producing art quilts, potholders, and dyed fiber products, as well as leading educational activities and community outreach of traditional fiber skills from “sheep to shawl.” In addition, my paintings and art quilts have been shown in dozens of exhibits across the New England region. I hold an MFA in Graphic Design from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and a BA in Holistic Maternity Care and Expressive Art from Antioch University Seattle. During my graduate studies I took a deep dive into Semiotic theory, the geometry of design, pattern making, and color theory, which continues to inspire me to examine the layers of information and meaning being presented in art and design. My personal artistic practice and deep love of research help me support others in their design work, whether they are artists, curators, historians, or business owners. Whether someone has the seed of an idea that needs a lot of nurturing, or a fully fleshed-out vision that simply needs to be realized, I relish the opportunity to brainstorm, generate, and problem-solve in a collaborative and satisfying creative process.
